The North-West University (NWU) was established in the year 2004 as a result of a merger between two existing institutions. It was previously known as Potchefstroom University for Christian Higher Education and prior to that Potchefstroom University of Bophuthatswana. NWU is South Africa’s one of most reputable public university with a presence on three campuses, i.e. Potchefstroom, Mahikeng, and Vanderbijlpark Campus. In the University, eight faculties are home to a diverse range of disciplines, i.e. Economic and Management Sciences, Education, Engineering, Health Sciences, Humanities, Law, Natural & Agricultural Sciences, and Theology. Both undergraduate and postgraduate programs are available at NWU.
