Job Description:

To effective collect outstanding debt and prevent Bad Debt for Vodacom Corporate, Business, Merchant, and Consumer collection portfolio and ensure that the accounts are paid when due

To assist and empower other Vodacom Departments on Collections calls via Real-time Helpdesk in a Blended Contact Centre environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • To collect 100% of the targets.
  • Very strong and advanced negotiation skills.
  • To minimize bad debt.
  • Assisting and empowering Internal Staff in collections related calls.
  • To negotiate payments on accounts.
  • To follow up on non-payments.
  • To liaise with 3rd parties to resolve account disputes involves meetings and negotiations with CEO’s, FM’s IT Managers.
  • Contact Centre and Dialler Acumen.
  • Make split-second decisions on locking and unlocking.

Job Requirements:

  • Negotiation skills (ability to liaise with CEOs, FM’s and IT Managers, EHODS & executive Heads).
  • A diploma in Credit Management would be an advantage.
  • Experience in dealing with EHODS, Exec Heads & other key stakeholders.
  • 2-5 years of Credit control experience.
  • Persuading and Influencing.
  • 1 Year of Financial reconciliation experience.
  • Experience in dealing with 3rd Parties to resolve account disputes.
  • Relating and Networking.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Achieving Personal Work Goals and Objectives.
  • Analytical and investigative mind.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Matric – essential.
  • Delivering Results and Meeting Customer Expectations.
