Job Description:

The Department intends to strengthen research and teaching in the field of Labour Law and would welcome applications from candidates who are prepared to teach and supervise in Collective Labour Law and Workplace Discrimination.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining a social responsive activity commensurate with the level of appointment
  • Contributing to Faculty and Department activities and administration responsibilities appropriate to the level of appointment.
  • Teaching Labour Law courses offered by the Department of Commercial Law as required by the Department, which may include courses offered to non-law students.
  • Maintaining a research profile and publication output commensurate for level of appointment.
  • Supervising graduate and postgraduate students

Job Requirements:

  • Strong track record of socially responsive activities, public or professional service
  • A strong and consistent record of publications in Labor Law appropriate to the level of Associate Professor
  • Extensive lecturing experience in Labor Law
  • A doctoral degree or equivalent level of scholarship in Labor Law
  • A strong and consistent record of publications in Labor Law appropriate to the level of Professor
  • An established record of postgraduate supervision
                • Lecturing experience in Labor Law or equivalent relevant experience;
  • Evidence of academic and administrative leadership
  • Demonstrable capacity to supervise at a postgraduate level;
  • Evidence of administrative experience
