Job Description:

The procurement administrator provides routine administrative support to the procurement unit. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in day-to-day operational support. The administrator will be responsible for organizing and storing documents, generating purchase orders, and updating records linked to an organization with a national footprint.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Compile accurate and current reports
  • Able to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Customer service orientated
  • Handle general requests for information from users
  • Assist with the transfer of assets at close-out and program launch
  • Methodical work and attention to detail is imperative
  • Ensure good document management systems are maintained
  • Ability to see projects through to completion
  • Diligent and self-driven, sense of urgency
  • Assist in scheduling material purchases
  • Able to support procurement team in achieving their objectives
  • Follow routine procedures efficiently
  • Ability to function well in a high-pressure environment and meet deadlines

Job Requirements:

  • Experience of at least 3 years in an administrative role
  • Good level of IT literacy
  • Matric/Grade 12
  • Valid code 08 driver’s license
  • Good working knowledge of the current MS Office products, particularly Excel
