Job Description:

To implement multiple capital projects within set parameters by implementing sound processes systems and procedures within
Programme Management Unit

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintains a programme management framework and communicates to all relevant role players and stakeholders
  • Manages and completes National Station Improvement Programme (NSIP) and National Station Upgrade Programme (NSUP)
    monthly financial project reports for submission to the Executive Manager: PMU and subsequently to PRASA CRES EXCO.
  • Manages and completes Workplace Improvement Projects (WPIP) as per approved list.

  • Monitors the expenditure against the budget to ensure that spending occurs within the budgetary restrictions and compiles
  • Consult with the relevant role players within the PMU department to determine expenditure requirements.
  • Analyses of the business plan for the PMU department to determine the capital expenditure requirements for the specific area.
  • Manages Professional teams and contractors in the region.
  • Develops MTEF budget in terms of long-term plans for the region and submits the plans for approval..

Job Requirements:

  • Valid Drivers’ Licence
  • Registration with SACPCMP and other built environment professional bodies.
    of which should be managerial experience.
  • A 4-year Degree/ B Tech in Quantity Surveying /Architecture/ Civil Engineering/ Construction Management/ Building Science andTown Planning.
  • A minimum of 10 years relevant Project Management experience in the construction and/or property industry is required, 5 years
