Job Description:

The Team Leader is responsible for running the daily operations management of the team, as well as providing the vision and team objectives to all members

Job Responsibilities:

  • Continually seek out opportunities to add value to the team and extend the relationship with employees, line leaders and external stakeholders
  • Roll out of claims initiatives with binder brokers
  • Ensuring that staff members attend all relevant training pertaining specifically to their roles.
  • Coaching all staff members on the technical and operational aspects of their roles through monthly one-on-ones or when needed
  • Ability to manage a portfolio of claims
    recording of transactions submitted to the line of business system and line management
    current processes, etc
  • Maintain good stakeholder management including one on one discussion, conference calls, and meetings with internal and external stakeholders
  • Assist with change management initiatives when required
  • Dealing with all requests and providing the necessary information required
  • Drive transformation initiatives to ensure targets are monitored and met on an annual basis
  • Ensure all controls in place to mitigate the risk in the payments environment
  • Roll out of procurement processes with binder brokers
  • Presenting all rejected claims to the relevant stakeholders to ensure consistency is reached across all claim decisions within the specific department and to make decision within the mandate of Hollard.
  • Completing the daily tracker and managing outputs accordingly- which ensures the daily effective management of the team
  • Escalate any deviation to the standard to line management and ensure no disruption to the rest of the
  • Complete all relevant compliance training where needed and comply with relevant regulation that governs payments to vendors, client and companies
  • Managing of the business system by ensuring that all staff members are productive on a daily basis, ensuring the teams are available
  • Implementing constant process improvements in order to exceed client expectations and services rendered by doing things better, faster while costing less
  • Ensure monthly expenses are being monitored and not to exceed budget and verified for accuracy
  • Ensure regular audits conducted within the team, test for accuracy and whether policies and procedures have been followed.
  • Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering contracts and helping resolve work-related problems
  • Ensuring that all client complaints and queries are dealt with
  • Conduct career discussion with all staff to ensure that career pathing and development actions are followed through on
  • Reviews statistical reports submitted by staff to monitor activities, anticipate problems and ensure accurate
  • Authorizing claims which are over staff members mandate and ensuring that the proper processes are followed
  • Ensure Company policy is adhered to. Managing absenteeism effectively by ensuring that leave policies and procedures are met, authorizing and keeping track of all absenteeism ensuring that trends are accounted for, and proper consequence management is implemented
  • Compiling various reports for the various stakeholders and line manager. This will assist with the analysis of the

  • TCF: Ensure that customers are treated fairly
  • Allocation of work to all staff members in line with targets for the department and skills of the specific person
  • Initiating performance improvement programmes or addressing non-compliance with staff members who are not performing at satisfactory levels
